Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF)
Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is a treatment to remove a degenerative or herniated disc from the neck. The treatment works by accessing the disc through the front of the neck, removing the damaged disc, and fusing the bones. Typically, an ACDF will be performed for chronic pain in the neck and back that does not respond to conservative treatment, and in which findings of disc herniation are present.
