Shoulder Subluxation

A shoulder subluxation is a partial dislocation of the shoulder joint. The condition occurs as a result of a fall onto the outstretched arm, a direct blow to the shoulder, or having the arm forced into an awkward position. Symptoms include looseness in the shoulder joint, pain, weakness, and numbness in the shoulder or arm. Treatments include closed reduction, immobilization, medication, surgery, and rehabilitation.
