A hip labral tear is an injury to the hip labrum, the tissue that covers the acetabulum of the hip joint. The condition occurs as a result of bony structural issues (FAI), trauma to the region, and degenerative conditions like osteoarthritis. Symptoms include pain during movement of the hip. Treatments include surgery for individuals experiencing persistent or severe pain and activity limitations.
