Haglund's Deformity

Haglund’s deformity is a bony abnormality on the back of the heel bone that rubs against shoes and irritates the soft tissue near the Achilles tendon. Symptoms include painful bursitis, which is an inflammation of a fluid-filled sac between the tendon and bone. Treatments include reducing pressure and friction at the site of the bump by wearing a shoe that fits well and offers adequate support.
